Introduction
 An Alumni are the assets of the institution.
 Alumni association is an association of graduates.
 It may organized around University or College.
 It build strong connection between organization and Alumnus.
 It simplifies the problem of communication.
 It works for the benefit of organization and Alumni.
 It may participate on charity and fund raising.
 Experience of Alumni may be shared for under graduated students.

Background of the organization
 MWU was established in Bale, Robe around 1999 E.C.
 It is about 430 km away from Addis Ababa.
 It has 46 undergraduate and 28 postgraduate programs.
 Deliverology is adopted to this University in 2008 E.C.
 It is mainly working on Alumni and capacity building.
 Student statistics and record also working on this area.
 MWU collect Alumni status by calling to them.

Objective of the project
1.General objective
To develop Web Based Alumni Association Management System for Madda Walabu
University.
2. Specific objective
To understand the problem in the current system.

To propose alternative solutions.

To collecting data to accomplish the system.

To Document the problems that we are identify.

To design user friendly interface.

To develop a database that will be used by the system

To implement, test, deploy and maintain.

Scope of the project
The boundary of the proposed project is for MWU only.
 Admin can manage user accounts, search members, view
events and feedback.
 Deliverology can manage events; manage forum; search
members and chatting(messaging) with Alumni; receive
Alumni report; post tracer study form and view Alumni
detail.
 College Registrar Coordinator can create account for Alumni;
manage Alumni data; generate Alumni report; search
members and post news.
 Alumni can edit profile; view uploaded files, view forum
(tutorial) and events (news); search Alumni and chatting
(messaging) with each other and with Deliverology also.

Applicable only in English language.
It cannot work without internet

Significance of the project
 Easily access Alumni information in organized and centralized database.
 Avoid Alumni file missing and material wastage.
 Ensuring timely and efficient sharing of critical information within the
association.
 To minimize from more expenditure.
 Time consuming tasks should be reduced.
 Avoid the information gap between the university and its Alumni.

STUDY OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM

 Currently the system is partially manual system .


 Collecting Alumni status is by calling mobile phone.
 Training GC students on different situation is face to face.
 It has not an Alumni Association experience.
 Recording Alumni data is by manual and excel sheet.
