• Outer Court is the only place where gentiles can gather and
worship God – Court of Gentiles
• Jews made it a place of business

"Jesus saw their faith" the next verse says. Because the
man and his friends had great faith, Jesus decided to
start the healing process by forgiving the man's sins.
The story continues in Luke 5:20-24: "When Jesus saw
their faith, he said, 'Friend, your sins are forgiven.'
And he could do no mighty work there, except that he
laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them” (
Mark 6:5)
