In country X and Y project we were working for multi vendor (E///) post optimization project .
We have applied DL power parameter changes to improve CDR.
By using the parameters minimumRate, minPwrMax, interRate,
interPwrMax, maxRate and maxPwrMax the so called DL power mapping
curve is made up. The parameters decide three points on the curve giving the
maximum transmission power (relative CPICH power) for corresponding rate
Between these points the maximum transmission power is interpolated. It can be optimized by
changing these parameters through various steps.

 Step 1 – Increasing Speech power

This increases maximum transmission

power for all radio links with a transmission rate up to minimumRate (default
15.9 kbps). More power can be used if the radio link gets poor and the call can be
maintained longer, thus improving retainability. Field trials have been done
increasing minPwrMax from 0 dB up to 3 dB with very good improvements on speech

 Summary

Similarly we apply the following setting in various condition

• MinRL power change
•Max RL power change
•Both Min & max RL power change
•minimumRate 0.1 to 0.2%
•interRate & maxRate CDR improve 0.2 to 0.4%

•Note: This Parameters applicable only on the sites where there is no DL power
congestions
