FARMERS PRODUCE TRADE AND COMMERCE BILL

1. To create an ecosystem where farmers and traders enjoy

the freedom to sell and purchase farm produce outside
registered 'mandis' under states' APMCs

2. They can sell their produce even to private cold storages,

warehouses and Processing units.

3. To reduce marketing/transportation costs and help farmers

in getting better prices

4. No Tax or CESS for sale of produce outside APMC

FARMERS AGREEMENT ON PRICE ASSURANCE AND FARM SERVICES BILL

1. Farmers can enter into a contract with

agribusiness, firms, processors, wholesalers,
exporters or large retailers for sale of future
farming produce at a pre-agreed price .

2. This will give farmers access to modern

equipment for farming by the private firms 

3. Farmers will get full price for their produce as

their wouldn’t be involvement of a middle
men.
ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES BILL

1. The act empowers the central government to

control produce, supply and trade of essential
commodities.

2. To remove commodities like cereals, pulses,

oilseeds, onion and potatoes from the list of
essential commodities.

3. Government will only intervene in the case of an

emergency like war, famine, extraordinary Price

1.The new bill has not brought any major

drastic changes, only a parallel system
working with the existing system.

and “government procurement will continue”.

farmers.
