• Mydin Group's success certainly can not be
separated from the family identity, which seems
heavily influenced values and family culture
that originated in India, although managing
director, Dato 'Ameer Ali is a fourth generation
resident in Malaysia.
• Mr Mydin was sent to an English school. He
still maintain a modest personality and prudent
which might seen as being cheap in the Malay
culture.
• Mydin’s family practice honesty in their daily life.
The Mydin;s family does not tolerate betrayal in
their company. There are cases where the
supervisor embezzling money and they have to
fire the person who responsible for the incident.
• Mr Mydin Mohamed did not start a business with
his father, although his father had been
successful. He chose to start from scratch with
the business of serving Mr. Peerbhai. Here he
gained a lot of experience to manage a retail
store.
