Illustrating Continuity

of a Function
Continuity of Function at Constant c

A function is said to be continuous at x=c if there is no

interruption in the graph of f(x) at c. There is no hole, jump
or gap at x=c. Upon tracing the graph of a function, you
are not going to lift your pen at x = c. Once you lift your
pen it means that the graph of function is discontinuous at
x=c.
