Lighting
• What lighting did you use and why?

• I used a flash for the portrait because on the day there was no sun and I
was mainly on the body as a whole so having a light setting was best
especially since it was going to be put in black and white and the light
would help constast against the dark of the background
Camera shot
• Why did you choose those camera shots

• The camera shot was concentrating on body language and showing that
the model was relaxed but also held attitude within her pose. The long
shot was needed to see her as a whole because her body language was
main focus of the portrait.
Framing
• Why did you frame your subject in that way

• I framed it this way so that she was the main subject but also because
framing it from the front was quite boring and plain while framing it from
the side from a persons perspective allows the audience to see her
attitude as well as the contrast against the dark and light in the picture
The subjects
• Why have you presented your subject in the way that you have?

• My subject is confident but acts different in front of the camera and this
causes her expression to change so I had her lean against the table so that
she would seem somewhat relaxed but also hold an air if confidence
around her.
Colour
• Why did you take photo in colour/black and white

• The photo was changed to black and white later because in colour the
subject in questions blends in with the background which is something I
don’t want. The subject is meant to stand out to show attitude and if they
blended in with the background it wouldn’t show as much.
• However in black and white the light stands out contrasting against the
dark shadows and the back so it stands out.
Filter
• Why did you use any filters? If yes which one and why?

• I used the classic filter on my phone to concentrate on certain aspects of

the subject such as their face and certain parts of their clothes but also to
add to the subjects current emotions and attitudes. For example my model
has a classic feel about her but her clothes contrast against that and when
paired with the classic filter changes the meaning and attitude entirely
turning it from classic to a confident rude girl of sorts
