• Documentaries are a type of movie that uses film, photography,
people or real time events to create a story that can be anything
ranging from funny, disturbing and others
• These documentaries can last for hours but are often shorter

as well as educate others about their findings or facts not many may know
• Others may use documentaries simple for their audiences entertainment
FINE ART
• Fine art put simply is the creative vision of the artist or cameraman/woman
• The idea is that instead of capturing a realistic image the cameraman aims to recreate the
image threw their eyes to make a statement
• The image focuses more on being aesthetic than what you would see from an image focused
more on commercial values as fine art photography is Heavily edited . This type of
photography is not realism, it is not limited and has no structure to it. Simply put it has a
wider range.
USES/PURPOSE
• The main purpose of Fine art is to express a
message or emotion, to capture essence within
the image or subject These can range from
people, objects and others and are seen in
galleries
• Due to its range of creativity the style and types
are largely different and create different
meanings and effects from different
cameramen/women
• A portrait in simple terms is the representation of a person
WHAT IS A • A portrait emphasises the features the subject already had such as
their body langue but mainly focuses on their facial expressions.
PORTRAITUR A portrait can also tell a persons story. An example of this is seen
throughout history as people from centuries before have had

range from Fame, fortune and others.
USES/PURPOSE
• Portraits have always been used to record a person, to show their power, wealth beauty and
importance - portraits are used as a way to tell us about the subject and each portrait is made
from certain choices to portray this from clothes to how they are positioned, body language,
facial expression and others . For example, Henry Viii was attracted to his future wife Anne
of Cleves due to her portrait but was disappointed when he saw the woman in real life and
Henry Viii attracted a lot of women because it represented his wealth and power which was
what made women attracted to him.
WHAT IS ADVERTISING?
• Advertising is a message sent with the intent of influencing the people who watch them. It
does this threw, television, radio, internet, posters, sponsors and any other media outlet
• The advertising industry is made from many companies and agencies that create different
types of media that carries adds like how YouTube videos especially those making money
have adverts within their videos. They create advertisements, brands and medias that carries
ads that are seen in media today.
USES/PURPOSE
• There are many uses for media, but the main purpose is money, but you can't make much
money from online advertising as it takes a lot of viewers to earn a lot of money.
• Big companies will usually use advertising to display their products, so people come to buy
them making it easier to sell and inform them about their latest product and sale offers, as
costumers are their main source of income
• Another is communication is cheaper. Having calls made is much more expensive than an
advertisement and unlike call sales advertisements can be used to emotionally manipulate
the receiver
