1. Kris Aquino

Print: Kris Aquino advertises for fashion brands and cosmetics. She also works as a  prompter
for various fashion firms.

Broadcast: Kris Aquino can be seen in Shopee advertisements on television. It's  said to be

because of her endearing personality and  her voice, which is instantly recognisable to
anyone who hears it.

New Media: Kris Aquino is depicted as a caring mother of two autistic children, with her lifestyle

and career on display.

Film: Kris Aquino is depicted as a prolific actress who has played a variety of roles in

films of various genres, and she is often portrayed as a wealthy woman by award-winning film directors.

2. Philippine National Police

Print: Police officers are often depicted in the media as crime fighters. Policing is often

described in the printed media as a

rewarding career in public service.

Broadcast: Because of recent concerns involving extrajudicial killings and police brutality,

police officers are often viewed in a negative light. The news often depicts
police officers seizing control of our country's legislative and even executive branches of government.

New Media: Because of recent concerns involving extrajudicial killings and police violence,

which is said to be an act of power abuse, police officers are often depicted negatively.

Film: Police officers are often depicted as law enforcement officers, crime fighters, and

public protectors. This depiction also leads  the public astray from the real service-
oriented issues that police officers deal  with on a daily basis.

3. Poverty

Print: Poverty is portrayed as a concept and a phenomenon in the print media. It has been

found that print media do not make frequent personal references to the needy,
despite the fact that they do use photographs of individuals to illustrate stories.
Broadcast: Poverty is under-reported, and when media cover it, they
also seek out casestudies - individuals who  can speak aboutwhat it's like to live on a low income. This
is also seen in documentaries.

New Media: Poverty is often stereotypically depicted by contemporary artists. It may be defined

as a "art subject," but the general public  believes that depicting poverty with slums
in a convention of art is purely offensive.

Film: The state of being poor is often  depicted in films as defining features of  one's

personality. Poor people's narrative feature in films often boils down to just that: being
poor. Through moral lessons in films, movies can often shed light on addressing poverty as a problem.

4. Gender Equality

Print: In news stories, gender inequality is  often found. When womanndo appear in the

news, it is often as "eye candy," reinforcing
women's importance assources of everyday gratification rather than as material.

Broadcast: In the press, gender inequality is  often found. When women do appear in the

press, it is mostly as "eye candy," confirming their worth as sources of uncommon
gratification rather than the substance of  their opinions.

New Media: In the new media, the LGBTQ culture and women's liberation can be seen.

Becauseof the importance of freedom of  speechin digital media, it is often referred  to as a

"solid tool for equality."

Film: Women's portrayals on film are often influenced by the roles they play behind

the scenes. Female directors are more likely than male directors to cast more
women in key roles and portray women in a more positive light; female stories have
plots that subvert conventional male stories.

5. Muslim Community

Print: The newspaper portrays Muslim commitment in a positive light. Newspaper articles about muslim

commitment are not nearly as negative as headlines about other facets of Islam.

Broadcast: Most foreign countries tend to concentrate on aggression and war;

however, including Muslim commitment brings these negative aspects to light.

New Media: Most western countries are  more likely to focus on the abuse and war  that exist in

Muslim communities;  however, Muslim commitment is still seen as positive acts
of Islam in social media. Muslims have been described as devout to their
religious traditions, such as prayer and holiday observance, in Christian encounters.
Film: Though violence and conflict are more often depicted in films based on true
stories, Muslim devotion has often been seen as a profound subject to depict
"serious devotion in some religions."
