Ways to Enhance SELF AWARENESS

 Skill development- Having an

accurate sense of who you are and
what you can do helps you decide
what you should do to improve.

weaknesses- helps you exploit your
strengths and cope with your
weaknesses. It allows you to
understand how you can work
around them.

making skills- people who are
highly emotionally self-aware are
better able to read their "gut
feelings" and use them to guide
decisions.
Ways to Enhance SELF AWARENESS

 Stress- be aware that you will need

to work extra hard to develop the
skills for that job, and there are jobs
that would be less stressful for you.
Ways to Enhance SELF AWARENESS

 Motivation- helps you understand

and seek out the rewards that you
really desire such as a sense of
accomplishment, additional
responsibility, an opportunity to help
others, or a flexible work schedule.

motivate yourself is tantamount
to knowing how to motivate
others.

with her boyfriend, Luis. She thinks Luis
takes her for granted and doesn’t tell her he
loves her or share affection enough. They
fight about this frequently.
Practice for Self-Awareness Skills
P3- Bridget on her own
Bridget struggles with low self-esteem,
which causes depressive symptoms. She
doesn’t feel good enough, and she doesn’t
