 Rational for test substance

 The herbal oil consists of combination of 10 herbal drugs and 4

herbal oils.
 Provenly safe and clinically used in many herbal formulations.

 Alopecia, baldness, hair loss, dandruff, gray hair, weak strands are

the universal problem affecting both the sexes to different extent.

 Herbs oils when used in combination are much more powerful,

while single herbs often have unwanted effects over time.

 Hence it needs to be evaluated for combined effect for hair growth

activity.

 Parameter

 Skin sensitivity will be observed: Redness, erythema etc.

 Hair growth initiation test will be observed and recorded.
 Hair regrowth will be examined qualitatively.
 Hair weight and length, 30 hairs will be picked randomly
from the shaven area of each mouse and the weights and
lengths of the hairs will be recorded
 Changes in the area of hair regrowth (%) within the shaven
area will be evaluated.
 Expected Outcomes

 Novel fortified polyherbal hair oil formulation promotes

hair growth.
 Shows increase in hair length without any loss of hair.
