Introduction

This presentation will show you how to install a software update on the Dialog + SW
9.xx machines.
 The Low Level software is installed first
 The Top Level software follows
 The Production Report is updated
 The system configuration and language version has to be checked 
 A therapy test run must be performed.

Use the FSU stick to set up the system configuration or to load additional language to
the machine.
The use of the FSU stick was explained in Module 6

The software installation should always be performed according to the service manual
and instructions on the appropriate TI.

Low Level Installation

 Insert the USB Stick into the Digital

board.
 JP1 and JP2 must be in the default
position, unless the TI requires a
firmware update.
 Change the service switch to
position 3 for the software update.
 Turn the machine on
 Wait for Controller and Supervisor
LEDs 0 to 7 to light up.
 The installation has finished after
you hear a „Beep“ sound, turn the
machine off.

Top Level Installation  The Top Level is installed

from the front or the back
of the machine.
 Leave the service switch
on the Digital Board in
position 3.
 Turn on the machine.
 Follow the instructions on
the screen.
 Only turn off the machine
when the installation has
been completed.

All the Trend data will be lost

after the software installation!

Software Package

 After the installation start

the machine in TSM Mode
 Confirm software versions,
according the TI.
For example:
 TLC – SW 9.12
 LLC – SW 9.12 Software
LLC – SW 9.02 Firmware
 LLS – SW 9.12 Software
LLS – SW 9.12 Firmware
 Confirm the Language
Version
 Install an additional
language, if required.

Production Report

 Select Top Level Options

 Activate Low Level Option
 Compulsory before
entering Therapy Mode
for the first time.
 Save settings
(note bit sequence 0-1-0)

System Configuration

 After installation, the first machine must be configured manually.

 You can do this in TSM, be accurate with it, let someone check the data.
 Make sure you load the correct configuration approved by the responsible authorized person.

System Configuration

For the first time: new software

 It is mandatory to load a configuration after installing the
software
 Take the Technical Information ( TI ) and follow the steps
 If the software is installed for the first time, the configuration
must be entered manually
 To entering it manually you need the Default Table which has
been completed and signed by the responsible authorized
person
 Save settings
(note bit sequence 0-1-0)
 Write the configuration on the FSU stick for backup and to
clone it to other machines

Dialysis Test Run

Complete a dialysis test run

as instructed in the respective
Technical Information.

The test run should be

performed under normal
environmental condition, i.e.
at a room temperature of
25 °C ±5 °C.
