What is Financial Inclusion?
It is
the delivery of banking services at affordable costs
to all Sections of the society in general and weaker
sections and low income groups of the society in
particular in a fair and Transparent manner.

 Customer enrollment – 
 Customer enrollment with e-KYC procedure
  Customer having Aadhaar number approaches BC Agent for account opening with his
Aadhaar card as POI (Proof of identity) and POA( Proof of Address).
 BC Agent feeds only Aadhaar number and takes customers fingerprint biometrics on
machine. This information gets authenticated from UIDAI and customer details are
automatically populated on BC Client terminal.
 BC Agent sends this enrollment online to FI server & gets reference number.
 FI Server processes enrollment on scheduled time every evening.
 After successful process, enrollment is made available in CBS with reference number.
 BC Agent submits physical form with reference number to link branch.
 Branch staff provides enrollment reference number in Financial Inclusion menu in
CBS and fetches data for validation. The branch staff may modify data, if required and
generate Queue number.
 This queue is authorized by other staff and account number is generated. (Maker
Checker concept is implemented here).
 Branch staff then scans signature of customer and provides passbooks to customers.
 Customer Transaction (AEPS Transaction) –
 Customer approaches BC Agent for account transaction with his Passbook/ Aadhaar
Number.
 Depending on type of transaction, BC Agent selects Menu in AEPS –Aadhaar Enabled
Payment System (Biometrics with UIDAI)
 For AEPS transaction, BCA enters Aadhaar number of customer and amount with
fingerprint authentication of customer. AEPS transaction gets authenticated for fingerprint
verification from UIDAI.
 On Successful authentication, CBS system validates for account status and allows
transaction online depending on conditions. BC Agents settlement account is used as
intermediate account for online transaction.
 CBS validates for all types of parameters for successful transaction in account.
 On Successful transaction, Customer transaction receipt is printed on POS device and is
provided to customer.
PMJDY
 Hon’ble Prime Minister had announced a scheme “Pradhan
Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna” in his independence day speech on
15.08.2014.

 The Scheme was implemented in two phases :


Phase I (15th Aug 2014 to 14th 2015)-
a) Universal access to banking facilities
b) Providing BSBDA with OD facility of Rs.5000
and RuPay debit card with inbuilt accidental
insurance cover of Rs.1.00 lakhs
PMJDY Continued…

Phase II (15th Aug 2015 to 14th Aug, 2018)-


a) Micro Insurance-Like PMJJBY, PMSBY
b) Unorganized Sector Pension Scheme- APY

Concept of PMJDY :
 To cover the allotted Sub Service Area (SSA).
 To open at least one account per household and that to preferably of
Ladies Member.
 To allow overdraft facility up to Rs. 5000/- to satisfactory operated
accounts.
 To issue RuPay Cards to all PMJDY A/c holder in which inbuilt
Insurance facility is available ( Accidental Insurance Cover of Rs. 1.00
lakh (NIA) & Natural Death Insurance Cover ( Rs. 0.30 lakh) (LIC).
Concept of PMJDY Continued..

 Accounts opened after 15.08.2018 in the following five products


is considered as PMJDY account:

• Out of the above products in first 4 products accounts can be opened with
relax KYC & there is limitation of yearly credit not more than Rs. 1.00 lakh &
balance outstanding not more than Rs. 0.50 lakh.
• In the Fifth product SB-Maha Sarvajan A/c will be opened with full KYC and
there is no bar for deposit of Amount & Balance in the account.
Latest Govt. Guidelines

 Government has decided to continue PMJDY Scheme which was


earlier up to August 2018
 Focus Changed from “Every Household to Every Adult”
 Age limit for Availing Overdraft of 18-60 years has been revised
to 18-65 years.
 There will not be any condition attached for OD up to Rs.2,000/-
 Existing Overdraft limit to PMJDY account holders of Rs. 5,000/-
has been raised to Rs.10,000/-
 Accidental Insurance cover for new Rupay Card holders has been
raised from Rs.1.00 lakh to Rs.2.00 lakh to new PMJDY accounts
opened after 28.08.2018.

PMSBY Scheme Details:

Eligible age for enrolment is 18 years to 70 years.


Policy period 1 year starting from 1st June to 31st May
with yearly renewable.
Claim Amount Rs. 2.00 lakh (For Accidental Death).
Total and irrecoverable loss of both eyes, hands, feet or
loss of 1 eye & loss of use hand or foot Rs. 2.00 lakh.
Total and irrecoverable loss of sight of one eye or loss
of use of one hand or foot Rs. 1.00 lakh.
Yearly premium Rs. 12/-
Scheme Details:

 Eligible age for enrolment is 18 years to 70 years.

PMJJBY Scheme Details

 Eligible age for enrolment is 18 years to 50 years


 Enrolled before age of 50 years can continue policy up to the age of 55
years
 Policy period 1 year starting from 1st June to 31st May with yearly
renewable.
 Claim Amount Rs. 2.00 lakh (Death due to any cause)
 Yearly premium Rs. 330/-

Pro-rata Premium allowed as under.


 
1st June to 31st August – Annual premium of Rs. 330/- is payable.
1st September to 30th November - 3 quarters of premium @ Rs. 86.00 i.e.
Rs. 258/- is payable.
1st December to last day of February - 2 quarters of premium @ Rs. 86.00
i.e. Rs. 172/- is payable.
1st March to 31st May – 1quarterly premium @ Rs. 86.00 is payable
Claim Process:
Discontinue the same in PM4S menu, so that next year renewal premium will not be
deducted.

Atal Pension Yojana (APY):

 Government has introduced Atal Pension Yojana in the month of May 2015. Any
citizen of India in age group of 18 years to 40 years can join APY scheme having
saving bank account.
 Scheme Highlights: 
i) Age group between 18 to 40 years.
ii) Monthly Pension Rs.1000,2000,3000,4000,& 5000
iii) Pension will start after attaining the age of 60 years.

Awards and Recognition

Bank has received four prestigious Awards for FI viz,

1. IBA award (Winner) for Best Financial Inclusion initiative in Medium


Bank.
2. APY award for People first campaign for Rajasthan State.
3. APY award for People first campaign for Bihar State.
4. APY award for People first campaign for Uttar Pradesh State.
5. In addition to this 138 branches has received appreciation letters
from PFRDA.
6. In the current year-2018-19, 12 branches are Qualified under APY
Trendsetters Campaign and 3 branches got the opportunity to
received awards in New Delhi at PFRDA office.
