To design an eco beach resort at cheriyam island under lakshadweep government .

To provide pollution free, cool, peaceful environment in its true prevailing form in order to facilitate
the inmates to enjoy the beauty of the place.

And To satisfy the feeling of every individual who comes to the island – To live with nature and the
resultant building to blend harmoniously with the surroundings.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES

• to provide a recreational environment for the resort through varieties of fasilities and
function

• respond to climatic and energy consumption issues raised by present day architecture through
eco sensitive design

• make analytical perfect of the functional requirements of eco resort and implement efficient
design to carry out functions smoothly

• study about the material and technology regarding the sustainablility in design

• study about energy efficient buliding

• to familiarize with designs on coral sand islands.

SITE LOCATION
• cheriyam island situated under same lagoon as that of kalpeni island. it has
an area of 0.537 square kilometres
• cheriyam situated north sde of the kalpeni island
• Kalpeni is one of the main island of lakshdweep. it has an area of 2.482
square kilometres
• It has a lagoon area of 25.6 km2
