THE AFRICAN WILD ASS
The African wild ass is a type of donkey
found between Djibouti and Asmara. It is
also known as Equus Africanus. It’s diet
consists of grasses, bark and leaves. They
live in an arid(dry) climate. Despite living
in a arid climate, they depend on water
when not receiving enough moisture from
vegetation. They drink water every three
days once , they are reported to be
drinking salty water or brackish water.
MOUNTAIN GORILLA
The mountain gorillas live on the Albertine rift
montane cloud forest, including the Virunga
volcanoes, ranging in altitude from 2200-4300
meters (7,200–14,100 ft). Most are found on
the slopes of three of the dormant volcanoes:
Karisimbi, Mikeno and Visoke .They are also
called beringei. In the thick forests of central
and west Africa, troops find plentiful food for
their vegetarian diet. They eat roots, shoots,
fruit, wild celery, and tree bark and pulp.
VERVET MONKEY
⊹ Vervet monkeys enjoy a mostly vegetarian
diet. Leaves and young shoots are most important
in their diet, but bark, flowers, fruit, bulbs, roots,
and grass seeds are also consumed. Their mainly
vegetarian diet is supplemented with insects,
grubs, eggs, baby birds, and sometimes rodents
and hares. Vervets rarely drink water.  
⊹ They live in the eastern and southern Africa .
⊹ They can live in mountain areas up to about
4,000 meters (13,000 feet), but they do not
inhabit rainforests or deserts. Their preferred
habitat is acacia woodland along streams,
rivers, and lake
GIANT GROUND PANGOLIN
⊹ They live in the western and eastern
Africa .
⊹ They are primarily nocturnal but may
shift their activity times to avoid the
high temperatures during summer or
become more diurnal to avoid the
cold night-time temperatures during
winter
⊹ These mammals eat ants and termites
using an extraordinarily long, sticky
tongue
AFRICAN PENGUIN

⊹ They live in the southern bay of Africa.


⊹ They feed on small fish such as sardines
and anchovies ,as well as small
crustaceans and squid
⊹  It also lives in a temperate climate, as
do most species of penguin. 
SNOUTED CROCODILE

 They live in the western Africa and central Africa .


 Slender snouted crocodiles eat mainly fish and
crustaceans. They hunt by swimming parallel to
the shoreline and curving their tails to trap fish in
shallow water.
 Snooted Crocodiles- live in tropical climates. like
to live in tropical places such as the jungles
