TIME MANAGEMENT?
FACTORS:
- PROCRASTINATION
- DISTRACTION
- STRESS
PROCRASTINATION
-occurs when you put off tasks that you
should be focusing on right now. When you
procrastinate, you feel guilty that you haven't
started; you come to dread doing the task;
and, eventually, everything catches up with
you when you fail to complete the work on time.
EXAMPLE OF
ACADEMIC PROCRASTINATION

- A student who wastes hours


browsing social media before they
finally manage to get started on a
homework assignment.
DISTRACTIONS
-the lack of ability to pay attention; lack
of interest in the object of attention; or the
great intensity, novelty or attractiveness
of something other than the object of
attention.

- Personal devices. Devices like cell
phones, hand-held games, and even
school-issued laptops are some.

STRESS
-a state of mental or emotional
strain or tension resulting from
adverse or very demanding
circumstances.

• Transitioning to a new environment
- Making a major move can be a stressful time
for many students, whether it’s starting at a new
school or the new systems of learning (modular
& Online Classes). New classes, new teachers,
and new routines can all be stressful for students,
and take time to adjust to.
