Rules of beneficence
• Protect and defend rights of others
• Prevent harm from occurring,
• Remove conditions that will cause harm others
• help persons with disabilities
• Rescue persons in danger.
• The duty of a physician is to heal where possible, to relieve suffering,
and protect the best interest of the patient
• Beneficent care of patients has 3 important dimensions; clinical
competence,riskbenefit analysis,and pertanalism

• Do not kill
• Do not cause pain and suffering
• Do not incapacitate others
• Do not cause offence to others
• Do not deprive others of the goods of life.
• ( it may be difficult to determine where benefit ends and harm
begins,)i.e euthanasia,
