TROUBLE SHOOTING

OF
HSM-600
SIOMAI MACHINE
MACHINE IS TOO NOISY
and SHAKES/VIBRATES A
LOT
CHECK THE CHAIN TENSION
• Check the CHAIN tension
– Driving System (Right Front) Fig. 01
– Driving System (Rear) Fig. 02
To adjust loose the fixing nut of idler sprocket/tension
sprocket

CHECK THE BOLTS AND NUTS

of turn table drive sprocket bolt.

Figure 2 Figure 3
BEVEL GEAR
• Check the bevel gear.
Bevel gear teeth must not have
a spacing.

To check:
Move the vertical shafting to
check if there is a spacing
between the teeth of the gear.
CHECK THE CAM BEARINGS

• Check the cam

bearing of index plate
swing arms (CF-8B)

• Replace if damage
UNEVEN
WRAPPER
CHECK THE WRAPPER
• Check the wrapper thickness
• If one side is thick and one side is thin
• Loose the bolt and adjust the
nut little by little and check the
wrapper thickness

• If you already adjusted the nut NUT

360° and the wrapper thickness
is still uneven, maybe the
bearing/shafting is damage. BOLT
CHECK THE WRAPPER
• If the output wrapper is thick then become
thin and become thick again.
• Check the bearing and the shafting of the
lower wrapper roller one of this is damage.

Note: Much better to

replace all the THICK
THICK
bearings of the THIN
lower wrapper roller
SCRATCHING SOUND AT ROLLER
• Check the side cover of the wrapper roller.

• Check the bearing

of the wrapper
roller. Replace the
bearing if damage.
IF WRAPPER CURLS
• Check the scrapper.
– Maybe there is a dirt on the scrapper
– Or the scrapper is not sharp
CAN’T ADJUST THE
WEIGHT OF THE
EMULSION
CHECK THE ADJUSTING KNOB
• If the knob is stuck up

– The knob is adjusted too

much
– Rotate the threaded part
until it move.

Note: Use a vise grip to rotate

the thread. Clamp the vise
grip to the unthreaded part.
UNEVEN WEIGHT
OF THE
PRODUCT
CHECK THE FEEDING PISTON
• Check the feeding piston, check if the piston
alignment is the same.
– Length of displacement must be the same.

• To adjust the weight loose the nut

• To increase weight rotate the bolt clockwise
NUT

• To decrease the weight rotate the bolt

counter clockwise

BOLT
QUALITY/FORMING OF
THE OUTPUT
PRODUCT IS NOT
GOOD
FACTORS THAT AFFECT THE OUTPUT
QUALITY OR FORMING OF THE PRODUCT

• Cutter is not sharp or cutter is not align.

• Wrapper pipe and ejection block spacing
• Machine timing
– Timing of wrapper pipe and feeding pipe
– Timing of table to the feeding pipe
CUTTER IS NOT SHARP OR CUTTER IS NOT
ALIGN
• Signs of cutter is not sharp or not align.
– Wrapper can’t cover the siomai properly

CUTTER BLADE
• Sharpen the cutter
blade
CUTTER PLATE
• Adjust the cutter
plate/base
WRAPPER PIPE AND EJECTION BLOCK
SPACING
• The spacing of the wrapper pipe and ejection block must be
around 3mm.
• To check manually rotate the machine until the wrapper pipe
reach its bottom position and then push the ejection block
upward to check the spacing.
• To adjust, adjust the wrapper pipe rod connected to the swing.

EJECTION BLOCK
MACHINE TIMING
Figure 1

• How to know if the machine is

in proper timing or alignment
Figure 1: Before the turn table rotates,
that is the position of wrapper pipe and
feeding pipe.

Figure 2: Before the wrapper pipe and

feeding pipe move up, that is the position
of turn table.

Note: Feeding pipe must be 2 to 3mm above the

turn table.

Figure 2
HOW TO CORRECT THE MACHINE TIMING
Figure 1

• Loose all the allen cap bolt of the

vertical bevel gear. Push down the
bevel gear until the vertical
shafting can rotate freely

• Next, remove the chain of

the rear and front shafting

Figure 2
WRAPPER PIPE AND FEEDING PIPE TIMING

• Manually rotate the

machine until the wrapper
pipe and feeding pipe is the
same with the picture.
• Then connect the chain of
front and rear shafting
Note: The motion of the feeding pipe must be
upward when you move downward the cam
plate for feeder tube.
TURN TABLE AND PIPE TIMING
• Rotate the vertical shafting
counter clockwise until the
position of turn table is the
same with the picture

• Then push up the vertical

bevel gear and tighten the
bolt(Allen cap)
THE END
