Functions and features


This sequin device is a front installed device and can be installed on the left or right side,
which supports 3-9mm sequin, the speed or sequin device supports normal flat
embroidery machine as followed: Reducing valve adjust knob
3mm: up to 950 RPM/Min
5mm: up to 900 RPM/Min Fill plug
7mm: up to 850 RPM/Min
9mm: up to 800 RPM/Min Oil

2. Air control assembly.


2-1 Air source pressure adjustment
When the machine connect with an air source,
at the beginning, watch the pressure gauge and Pressure

2-2 Lubricating

When lubricating, rotate off the screw above the
oil fogger, pour in lubricant to 1/2 of oil cup (ISO VG32 or the same class is
recommended). No. of Oil drop of oil fogger is adjustable, which should be 3 -5 drops/min
when air is continuously blowout.

3. Installation and adjustment


3-1 Height of sequin device installation
Distance between lower plane of sequin device and
dummy club of needle plate is 3.8mm and which is
ensured by a space piese. In case of re-install
sequin device, the spacing piece must be put

3-2 Left and right position adjustment
When install sequin device to embroidery machine
and adjust the position left and right, the filling piece

can be insert into the space between head fix plate
and needle bar case, or insert filling piece between bend plate and motor fix plate to be
adjust to insure the relative position of needle and hole of sequin.
3-3 Feeding assembly front and back adjustment
Feeding assembly consists of motor, swing rod, sequin feeding device and so on. Motor
fix plate is fixed by 2 Inner-hex-head screws to the bend plate, in case of changing various
size of sequin, loose the screw to adjustment the motor fix plate.
The position of sequin feeding device was fine adjusted in the factory and no need to re
adjust at customer site. If the needle is not aiming to the center of hole of sequin, r e-adjust
it. Loose the screw below base to adjust the position of base slightly (0.3mm left or right
side). If result is not satisfied, increase or decrease the number of filling pieces between
motor fix plate and bend plate or between head fix plate and needle bar case to adjust, fix
all screws when finishing the adjustment.
3-4 Adjustment of sequin circle cut and feeding motor “0” position:

When change the size of sequin, must

to keep the device works stable, the feeding device
must feeds sequins to the nearest position of cut knife. For
5-9mm sequins, when sequins pushed by feeding device
touched limit block, the tip of feeding device must be in the
first sequin hole from cut knight, for 3-4mm sequins, the tip
must be in the second hole of sequins.
When circle cut adjustment finished, don’t fix the swing rod
screw immediately, toggle the switch on the lower place of
panel to “down” and then push the single step switch on the
higher position of panel downward “step position” one or two
times to make the motor idle rotates 1-2 times, then fix the
swing rod by screw. This is very import and indispensable and

4. Sequin feeding assembly
4-1 Usage of sequin feeding assembly
3、4、5、7、9mm removable feeding assembly are
available with this device. As shown in Fig. 7, feeding

of change the size of sequins, replace the feeding
patch with appropriate size of feeding assembly (width Fig. 7

P.S. 7mm feeding assembly can be used with 6mm sequins and 9mm feeding assembly
can be used with 8mm sequins.
4-2 How to replace the feeding plate:
Refer to Fig. 3 and Fig. 5, feeding assembly is fixed by 2 screws onto the base board,
when replacing it, just loose screws (don’t take off), and move off the assembly from one
side, then insert the new assembly. Before fasten the

4-3 Adjust sequin feeding stopper to change the
pressure to sequins
As shown in Fig. 8, stopper is fixed by 2 screws onto
the feeding plate. Sequins pass through between
stopper and feeding plate. Move down the position of
stopper will increase the pressure generated by
stopper to sequins to prevent backward movement

of sequins, to move upward the position of stopper,
may decrease the pressure generated by stopper to the sequins. In general, adjust the
stopper to a proper position, that is, that is, the sequins can be easily move out, but when
feeding device moves back, sequins will not moves back with it.
Stop function is comes from the pressure generated by stopper to the sequins, it was fine
adjusted in the factory, normally customer need not to adjust it. In case of adjustment
needed, take off the fix screws of stopper, put the stopper on a flat surface, measure the
angle of bend part is about 42° as shown in Fig. 9. Note, when mount or fix stopper
screws, be sure the center line of stopper must be on the center line of fguide plate,
there must be a gap between both sides of 3、4、5mm stopper and both wall sides of guide
plate slot to prevent from clamp.
Caution: the base plane of guide plate must be flat, or only the front end slightly bend
downward, bend upward is unacceptable, as shown Fig. 8. So that the combination of
front end of guide plate and base board can be inseparably close to ensure the sequin
direction.
It the stopper is not flat, user may regulate it, be sure the both front ends are closed touch
the base board.

5. How to mount the sequin disk


fix the sequin disk to the disk shaft, as shown in Fig. 10 and Fig. 11. in the anti -clockwise
direction. Put stop collars, felt cushions and conic springs on both side of disk. So to keep
sequin disks on floating and won’t loose even with a long time off work and with shaking
from the machine.

6. Function of Tension Bracket Spiral spring

There’s a tension bracket on the sequin device, as
shown in Fig.11, to buffer the Instantaneous
resistance when the sequins are pulled out from the
disk.
The sequin must go through between the guiding Disk shaft
wheel and the limit plate first and then to the sequin
feeding assembly as shown in Fig.11, never insert
the sequin directly to the sequin feeding assembly. Stop collar

7. Sequins feeding
As shown in Fig.5, insert the feeding tool between
sequin feeding stopper and sequin feeding patch and
move forward to rise the sequin feeding stopper
slightly, then insert the front end of sequin into the
back of sequin feeding patch and push it forward until
the front end of sequin reaches the stopper, when the
hole of the sequin appears from the bottom of the Tension bracket
stopper slot. Then take off the feeding tool and move
sequin by feeding device into the chute until it gets

Warning: never use other tool to lift up the stopper,

8. Sequin selection
8.1 Qualify sequins
To improve the stability and reliability of sequin embroidery, excellent products, please
choose high quality sequins, that is, hard material, good straightness accuracy, and
precise size (including: 1.precise diameter 2.without regular errors on t he spaces between
sequins), and firm surface coating.
8.2 Findable problems caused by inferior quality sequin
8.2.1 Impact from not enough hardness
When the hardness of the sequin is not enough,the sequin is easy to be curved and
banked-up. Also the hole of sequin might hurt by the tip of sequin feeding device.
8.2.2 Impact from imprecise size of sequins
Impact from regularity error on the spaces between sequins: as the sequin is located by
the peak of the sequin feeding device on the hole of the sequin hole in Y-direction, if
there’s regular errors on the space of the hole of the sequins, the error will be
accumulated and the roundness of the sequin cutting will be with regular mistakes.
8.2.3 Impact from the bad surface coating
When the surface coating is not firm enough, it will be easy to be damaged.
Attention
Adjusting the throttle valve: the throttle controls the speed of the cylinder’s up and down,
we should adjust it to make all of them in the same speed and steady, don’t to be too high
to avoid an impact. After adjusting, lock the adjusting knob by locknut.
If the clamp nut of the piston rod get loose and need to be tightened during the working of
the device, please put down the device and get the piston rod back to the c ylinder, then
lock the clamp nut of the piston rod to insure the piston rod goes smoothly.
Setting of the electronic control parts: refer to the user manual of the electronic control.

9. Operation
Make sure that all toggle switch of the sequin device is on the AUTO position and the
locking plates of the head has been unlocked before start sequin embroidery. Now, after
pulling the bar switch, the sequin device will moves down and start, it will be lift up
automatically after working.
Sequin mending:
When the thread is broken, the sequin is lost or splashed or some other unusual thing
appears on an individual head, we can starts sequin mending embroidery just like flat
embroidery.
When the air-source doesn’t work, the cylinder support needs to be locked by th e lock
plate to keep the device putted up.
Warning
The main shaft should start after the machine is ready and the sequin device fall down,
never let the main shaft start before the sequin device ready. Otherwise the knife could be
broken if it run into the needle clip, and even splash to hurt people around.
If some devices isn’t on the AUTO and doesn’t get down after machine starts, never turn it
to AUTO immediately, please stop the machine and then turn it to AUTO and restart.
