Precautions When Making Adjustments
1, Observe the safety warnings on the decals.

2, Do not work near faces, walls or slopes or unstable ground.
3, Wear protective clothing and tools.
4, Use proper tools.
5, Keep hands away from rotating, moving and heated parts.
6, Assign more than two personnel for making adjustments.
7, Warm hydraulic oil more than 25℃[77F°] before making
adjustments.
8, Set the engine speed at 1800 min-1 for all Adjustments.

Foot Pad Centering
Description
Adjust alignment between

center of the coupling sleeve
and shank rod.

Set bolts (six) of the foot pad

How to Adjust
Step 1 :
Install a spare coupling sleeve in
the centralizer.
Step 2 : 10-20 mm
Move the drifter forward and move

the shank rod closer to the
coupling sleeve.

Step 3 :
Check that the center of the
coupling sleeve is aligned with
the shank rod, viewing from the
suction hood side.
If not aligned, adjust it the following

steps.

Step 4 :
Lift the foot pad slightly, using a
crane.
*Mass of the foot pad : approx. 150kg
Step 5 :
Loosen the set bolts (six) of the
foot pad.
Adjust the foot pad position so that
the center of the coupling sleeve
and shank rod is aligned, using the
crane.

Adjust the rod changer swing
operation sequence so that the
rotator swing cylinders operate
first then the carrier swing
cylinders operate.

How to Adjust
Step 1 :
Remove the cover of the rod
changer terminal box.
Step 2 :
Turn the adjust-screw of the
sequence valve clockwise all the
way to the end.

Step 3 :
Install the pressure gauge to the
GP3 port of the pump modular
valve.
Pressure gauge: 40MPa
Step 4 :
Start the engine.
Move the boom control lever to the
position Guide Slide Backward.
Move the guide shell backward
until the guide slide cylinder
extends to the maximum.
How to Adjust
Step 5 :
Temporarily adjust the P3 relief
valve of the boom control valve to
8MPa.
Turning clockwise : pressure increase
Turning counterclockwise :
pressure decrease
Step 6 :
Remove the first rod from the
drifter.
Move the drifter to the rear end of
the guide shell.
How to Adjust
Step 7 :
Move the rod changer lever (1)
backward [Carrier Swing In]. The 1
lever should stay that position.
Step 8 :
Slightly turn the adjust-screw (1) of 2
the sequence valve
counterclockwise. 1
Tighten the locknut (2) when the

carrier swing cylinders start moving
slowly.

Step 9 :
For confirmation, adjust the P3
relief valve of the boom control
valve to 7MPa. (See Step 4)

Install a spare coupling sleeve in

Step 2 :
Remove the support plate of the
carrier R.

Set the rod changer “Rod
collecting” condition.
Step 2 :

the spring to the maximum.
Further loosen the double-nut until
a gap between the spacer and the Double-nut

Carrier R adjustment :
Make sure that the sleeve clamp
grabs the coupling sleeve properly.
Loosen the double-nut to extend Double-nut
the spring to the maximum.
Further loosen the double-nut until

After adjustment, tighten the 1mm
double-nut.

How to Adjust
Step 1 :
Plug the oil hose to the air cylinder
head side.
Step 2 :
Move the feed lever to the position

drifter forward until the thread of
the shank rod comes to the grease
nozzle position.

Step 3 :
Pull down the grease nozzle by
hand until the piston rod extends to
the maximum so it can be closer to
the shank rod.

set bolts (two) of the grease nozzle
and the locknut of the air cylinder.

Step 1 :
Set the rod changer “Rod

Place the guide shell in a vertical
position.
Step 2 :
Disconnect the shank rod from the
coupling sleeve. [Reverse Feed
and Reverse Rotation]

Step 3 :
forward to disconnect the extension 5-10 cm
rod from the coupling sleeve.

Lift up the extension rod until the 2
end of the extension rod is 5-10cm

higher than the rod slide guide.

Loosen the set bolts (three) of the
rod slide guide.

Adjust the rod slide guide so that
the extension rod is placed on the
center of width of the rod slide
guide.
After the adjustment, tighten the
set bolts (three) of the rod slide
guide.

Move the rod changer lever to the

to store the extension rod in the
magazine.
