International Human Resource Management
(IHRM)
• covers all issues related to managing the global workforce and its contribution
to firm outcomes and includes comparative analyses of HRM in different
countries.

• IHRM – is interpay among the three dimentions of HR activities, type of


employees and countries of operation.

• one obvious difference between domestic and international HRM is that staff
are moved across national boundaries into various roles within the
international firm’s foreign operations – these employees have traditionally
been called expatriates.
