Explanation of the innovation and technical aspects
 The S4RM technology based motors are magnetic motors which are line start i.e. they do not require any
VFDs to operate; thus they are a direct replacement of conventional induction motors
This technology is implemented for both surface and submersible type of motor-pump applications
 As it is a magnet based motor, the runtime efficiency of the S4RM motor is 5-10% higher than that of an
Induction motor
 The S4RM takes reduced starting current up to 50% as compared to other motors
 It thus offers a long life of motor insulation as the starting current is lesser.
 Power factor is close to 1, which is better for utility as they can serve more customer with exiting
resource.

6
Technical aspects of your innovation
No rotor losses leading to high run efficiency
Less heat generated inside the motor leading to higher life
The motor when coupled with pumps, provides high discharge even when the input voltage from the grid
is lower because of synchronous operation.
The motor has a compact design which offers space saving
Lesser full load current
Unity power factor

Conclusion
 The S4RM is a retrofit energy efficient technology
 The technology is available till 75 hp of power range as of now
 The overall energy consumptions can reduced to 2:1 proportions in some cases
 The pumping systems should be seen wrt over all efficiency
 S4RM runs at full speed irrespective of voltage and load therefore can improve production in
industry environment
 The company also offer ESCO model for this technology
 A near to unity power factor operation reduces distribution losses and PFC capacitors
