Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) • With the occurrence of better technology, along with the rise of the internet, comes a new platform to promote learning. Massive Open Online Courses (also known as MOOC) refer to open- access online course (i.e., without specific participation restrictions) that allow for unlimited (massive) participation (Kaplan and Haenlein, 2016).According to Oxford Dictionary, the term was likely influenced by other words such as MMOG and MMORPG.
