Garden path sentences are grammatically
correct sentences that starts in such a way
that a reader's most likely interpretation
will be incorrect. The reader is lured into
a parse that turns out to be a dead end or
unintended.

Lexical Ambiguity
• It is the result of one of the words
having more than one possible
meaning.
Example:
Candice went to the bank.
We lost the match.
She got the mouse.
Flying planes can be dangerous.
Always choose the right.
Syntactical Ambiguity
• It is about the syntax (grammar)
can be understood in more than
one way.
Example:
The old man the boat.
There were 7-foot doctors in the
conference.
The girl told the story cried.
The horse raced past the barn fell.
She hit the man with an umbrella.
