INTRODUCTION

Soil testing is done to


determine the
soil's bearing
capacity.
OBJECTIVE

To let the student become


acquainted with soil
testing laboratory, the
equipment, and
apparatus by defining the
common equipment
parts and testing
terminology.
METHODOLOGY

The students went to visit


Allied Material Testing
Laboratories, a DPWH
accredited soil testing
laboratory, San Jose,
Malaybalay City,
Bukidnon.

The students were


then introduced of
the available soil
testing equipment
and apparatuses
along with their
corresponding
parts and
functions.

the laboratory
technician and
materials engineer.

The students were also


given the chance to
observe some soil testing
procedures demonstrated
by the technician that led
them to be more
acquainted with soil testing
laboratory, the equipment,
and apparatus.
