The Elephant and Friends

•Today, I’m going to tell you a story.

A story about an elephant and his
search for friends.
•The title of the story is “The
Elephant and Friends”.
•Once upon a time, there lived an
elephant in the forest.
•One day, the elephant felt lonely.
There were no other elephants
where he lived. So he wandered
into the forest looking for friends.
•The elephant saw a monkey in a
tree. “Will you be my friend,
Monkey? He asked.
•Monkey said, “You are too big and
cannot swing on trees as I do. So I
cannot be your friend”.
•The elephant then came across a
rabbit on the ground. He asked him
if he could be his friend.
•“You are too big to play with me.
You cannot fit inside my burrow.
You cannot be my friend", replied
the rabbit.
•The elephant kept on walking to find some
friends.
•Then, he met a frog and asked if he could be
his friend. The frog said, “You are too big and
heavy. You cannot jump like me. I am sorry,
but you cannot be my friend”.
•The elephant began to feel bad. He did not
like to be alone. All elephants like to have
friends.
•Then the elephant saw a deer. “Will you
be my friend?” he asked the deer.
•The deer said, “Mr. elephant, you are
too big to be my friend.
•The next day, all animals in the forest
were running in fear. It’s as if they were
running for their lives.
•The elephant stopped a bear and asked what
was happening and was told that a tiger has
been attacking all the animals.
•The elephant wanted to save the other weak
animals and went to the tiger. He said;” Mr.
Tiger, leave my friends alone. Do not eat
them”.
•But the tiger didn’t listen and even told the
elephant to mind his own business.
• Seeing no other way to solve the problem, the
elephant kicked the tiger and scared it away. The
frightened tiger ran for his life.
• The elephant walked back into the forest and called
out. “You are all safe now”
• All the animals in the forest had seen what the
elephant had done.
• All the animals thanked the elephant.
• They said, “You are just the right size to be our
friend."
•Thereafter all the animals
thanked the lovely elephant and
also agreed to be his friend.
•Now the elephant was so happy
and was enjoying each moment
of his life with his friends..
•Moral of the story is: Friends come
in all shapes and sizes!And that you
get whatever you wish if you are a
good person and have strong desire,
the determination to achieve your
dream.
