Food Processing is the branch of food science,


where a set of techniques and methods are used
to change the raw ingredients into prepared food.
It is a procedure in which food is prepared for
consumption purpose by human and animals.

Food technology is a branch of food science that
deals with the production processes that make
foods. Early scientific research into food
technology concentrated on food preservation.

manufacturing or production, preservation and
packaging, processing and canning of various food

physical, chemical or microbiological methods
and techniques used to transmute raw
ingredients into food and its transformation into
other forms in food processing industry.

days of traditional food processing, the main aim
was preservation to maintain a supply of
wholesome, nutritious food during the year and
in particular to preserve it for hungry periods.
