TASK 8: ORAL PREPARED SPEECH

Professionally known as Juice
WRLD (pronounced juice world)
Jarad Higgins was an American
rapper, singer and songwriter
from Chicago. He unfortunately
passed away on the 8th of
December 2019 cause of death
being an accidental drug
overdose.
Before I proceed I would like to say Rest in
peace to the late Jarad Higgins.

First off I would like to share one of the many

quotes he has blessed us with, it reads as
follows, “THE GOAL OF ALL LIFE IS NOT TO LIVE
FOREVER BUT TO CREATE SOMETHING THAT WILL.” I
feel as though this quote is self explanatory
but I will explain it anyway. This quote simply
tells us that someday we are all going to die,
so we should not waste our time trying to
prevent it, rather spend our time building a
legacy.
The relationship that I had with this
individual was not physical at all, meaning I
have never met him at all. The lyrical
content in his music makes it feel as if he’s
known me my whole life as they mostly
relate either to my life right now or to my
past life.
If he’s taught me one thing it’s the fact that
you can get anything done If you put your
mind to it.

“I feel as though, if you’re able to control your dreams, you

have more power and control over your mind, like you
could reach more areas of your mind. Therefore, I feel like
it creates the ability for you to achieve more things in
reality.”
This is yet another powerful quote by the
rapper.
He also prevented me from using or ‘trying
out’ drugs, as I used to attend school in a
very corrupted area which is a small town
right outside Kimberley. He managed to do
this by sharing his past and present
experiences with drugs, he did this through
music and interviews where he would
constantly mention that they are going to
kill him but he can stop.
Lastly I would like to thank everyone who
has, is and will still support me in the near
future. I would also like to give a special
thanks to all my parents and guardians.
