• The Islamic Golden Age was an era of cultural, economic, and scientific affluence in Islam's history,
typically spanning the eighth through fourteenth centuries.

• This period is thought to have started during the reign of the Abbasid caliph Harun al-Rashid (786–809),
with the establishment of the House of Wisdom in Baghdad, the world's largest city at the time, where
Islamic scholars and polymaths from all over the world with various cultural backgrounds were tasked
with gathering and translating all of the known world's classical knowledge.

of the Islamic Golden Age.
• Timurid architecture is the pinnacle of Islamic art in Central Asia.
