ATTENDANCE AND ABSENCES
• A Student is required to attend all his/her classes
and other school activities mainly and regularly
from the first day of classes. If it is necessary for
him/her to miss his/her classes, because of its
importance in their social and cultural
development that will enrich the educational
experience and promotes continuity of instruction
which results in higher performance:
1. A written statement presented for absence
has occurred more than three (3) school
days before its presentation will not be
accepted. For general student illnesses or
contagious illnesses that could jeopardize
the health of other students, a maximum
of six (6) such days are allowed per
semester unless the condition (s) causing
such absences is of a chronic or recurring
nature, is medically documented and
approve by the principal.
2. Death or severe illness in the student’s family.
3. Attendance at an appointment with a
government agency
4. Attendance at a medical appointment
5. Exceptional circumstances with prior approval
of the principal; or attendance director.
6. Participation in school sponsored activities.
7. Any other documented reason.
ABSENCES
• In case of an absence, a student must present an
excuse letter signed by his/her parents/guardian
and stating the reason(s) for the lack upon
his/her return. No student will be allowed to
sign the excuse letter in place of his/her
/parent/guardian.
• The student will be held responsible for all
assignment and related classroom work missed
during the absence.
Rules and Regulations
1. Students are expected to familiarize
themselves with the general disciplinary
rules of the school contained in the SFPS
student’s Handbook.
2. A student who has been proven
unsatisfactory through repeated violation
will be placed on disciplinary probation.
Such probation is considered as serious
warning so much so that any subsequent
violation shall be a basis for a dismissal or
expulsion.
GENERAL DISCIPLINE GUIDELINES
THE Following are some examples of expected behavior.
Show respect for the religious practices of the Catholic
faith and other faiths.
Address adult by their proper titles: Dr. Mrs. Mr. Miss.
Sister. Father, etc.
Use respectful language for all adults and students.
Use school and resources properly. This also pertains to
all members of the school community.
Dress and behavior are to be appropriated for a student
in a catholic school.
