MAIN IDEA
Each form of communication has its own creative language: scary music heightens fear, camera close-ups convey intimacy, big
headlines signal significance. Understanding the grammar, syntax and metaphor of media language helps us to be less susceptible to
manipulation.
ACTIVITY
Directions: Using the application that the learners are most competent with, make a drawing/sketch on how different media is
affecting your
everyday life. The learners can use any application that they are most comfortable with (ex. SketchPro, sketch.io, Microsoft Paint,
others)
