Main Idea:
Solve the Problem: Change the End Time
The still picture at 144f only plays for one frame, which is not enough time to read the text or see the drawings. To solve this
problem, you need to change the End Time again. Remember it takes one second to play twenty-four frames. How many
seconds do you think you need to read the last bit of text? Setting the End Time to 216f will give the viewer three seconds to
read the words.
 Click Canvas ► Properties.
 Change the End Time to 216f.
 Watch the scene again. Click File ► Preview
Edit the Story
You may find the words are on the screen too long or short. This can easily be fixed. More Time is Needed to Read the
Words
If you need more time to read the words, then you need to increase the End Time.
 Increase the End Time
 Select the still picture's group.

 Click and drag the waypoints of when a picture's Amount turns to 0 further down the Timetrack.
Make sure that the waypoints that cause one picture to disappear align with the waypoints that cause another picture to
appear.
Less Time is Needed to Read the Words
If you need less time to read the words, then you need to decrease the End Time.
 Click and drag the waypoints of when picture's Amount turns to 0 up the Timetrack.
Do this for all waypoints before decresing the End Time.
 Decrease the End Time.
Save the Synfig Document and then Exit Synfig
 From the File menu, select Save.
 Type the filename Scene 1 in the File name box.
 Click Save.
 From the File menu, select Quit
