A branch of philosophy and theology, is the
systematic study of what is right and good with
respect to conduct and character.

A broadly worded statement of ideals. no precise
definitions of right or wrong behavior are given .

Educational:
Which combine the principles with some
guidelines that can assist decision making in
morally different situations.

Regulatory:
It goes a step further and include a set of detailed
rules to govern professional conduct and which serve
as a basis for adjudicating grievances, such rules are
assumed to be enforceable, with a range of sanctions
imposed by the profession if the rules are
contravened..

Respect for all persons and all


points of views and for the
decision making capacities of
autonomous persons

Basically means to do no
harm for all participants

Which encourages one to
promote good for other and
provide norms for balancing
benefits againts risks and costs

Distributive justices is the fair
distribution of social benefits, risks
and costs in the community an
issue that makes up the core of
much of our political debate.

Who is responsible for health?
It is society or health each
individual’s responsibility.
For example life style (smoking,
alcohol habit)
Responsibility for both
Right for health care
All individuals should have equal
rights
No racism, no advantage one
individual to other

Professional ethics and self
regulation
Dentists should not refuse any patient
for their race, color sex or national
origin
He should treat individual’s equally
If dentist is not treating the patient
because of AIDS, HIV , sero positive or
HEP,C is totally unethical
Ethics in Patient Care
Confidential and privacy of all
patient
Should respect of all patient
Treat equally of all individuals
Patients should know about their
treatment outcome
