Edward Christopher Sheeran, better
known as Ed Sheeran, is a British musician
and singer. At a young age, he began
singing in the church he attended and also
learned to play the guitar. At sixteen he
dropped out of high school, and moved to
London to pursue an artistic career.
Ed Sheeran was born on February 17, 1991 in
Halifax, an English city in West Yorkshire in
the United Kingdom, and grew up in
Framlingham, a town in the county of
Suffolk in England. He is of Irish descent on
his father's side; he has an older brother
named Matthew. Sheeran is the son of
John, an art teacher, who worked as a
museum curator in the 1980s, and Imogen, a
culture publicist and jewelry designer.
On August 13, 2020, he announced that he was
expecting his first child with his wife Cherry
Seaborn, whom he married in December 2018. On
September 1, he announced, through Instagram, the
arrival of his daughter Lyra Antartica Seaborn
Sheeran. On June 25, 2021, Sheeran released "Bad
Habits," the lead single from his upcoming fifth
studio album. The album will be named "=" equals).
On August 19, 2021, he released "Visiting Hours" as
the second single from the album.

The song is the twelfth and final track of the
standard version of Ed Sheeran's third
studio album ÷ (Divide). In an interview
with MTV, Sheeran revealed that the song is
about his late grandmother.
