A. QUALITY PRODUCT AS AN INDEX MARKETABILITY

The quality of a product is viewed in several aspects by

the end-user, the customer. First, the customer looks at the
product’s functional design. His judgment will be guided by the
following criteria:

• convenience
• taste
• color and finish
• practicability
• usefulness
• general appearance/beauty
A. QUALITY PRODUCT AS AN INDEX MARKETABILITY

The second criterion that he looks into is the product’s

durability. Many customers consider durability as the prime
factor in buying.

The third is the kind of material used in making the

product. A good number of customers are meticulous in the
kind of materials used. Their rationale behind this is that if the
materials used are of good quality, then it follows that the
finished product is also of good quality.

The fourth is the brand or the trade mark. Since most

customers are influenced by imported goods, many of them go
for signature items. “What’s in a name” counts a lot in the
choice of a trademark.
