Abstract
 Service quality is the standard level of care that a healthcare provider
observes in the delivery of care. If the facility’s performance exceeds
patient’s expectation, it is said to have achieved service quality. The
study looked into the Quality of Healthcare Services of the Philippine
National Police Service 10 Dispensary as Perceived by Police Personnel
and their Dependents, Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro City. It utilized
descriptive survey research design with police regional office 10 and their
dependents as respondents. An adopted questionnaire with revisions was
used to gather data which were analyzed and interpreted by the use of
percentage, mean and T-test as statistical tool. Findings revealed that
majority of the respondents were PRO 10 personnel, male, married,
young adults and college degree holders. No significant difference
existed between the profiles of the respondents and the service quality
of the dispensary in relation to tangibility, reliability, assurance,
responsiveness and sympathy.
Abstract
 There is a significant difference between the PRO 10 officer’s
perceptions in the service quality of the dispensary with their
dependents in relation to tangibility, reliability, assurance,
responsiveness and empathy. Generally, the facility is able to deliver
adequate services to its clientele in terms of tangibility, reliability,
responsiveness, assurance and empathy though in terms of
responsiveness and empathy, the dispensary fall a little short in some
aspects like the availability of healthcare providers all the time and
the amount of time spent with the patients.
 Keywords: service quality, tangibility, reliability, responsiveness,
assurance, empathy, police regional office 10 personnel, dependents.

Writing the Title of Dissertation
 Indicate accurately the subject and scope of the study
 Avoid using abbreviations
 Use words that create a positive impression and stimulate
reader interest.
 Use current nomenclature from the field of study.
 Identify
the key variables, both dependent and
independent variables.
 May reveal how the paper will be organized.
 Suggesta relationship between variables which supports
the major hypothesis.
Writing the Title of Dissertation
 Is limited to 10 to 15 substantive words
 Do not include “study of” or “analysis of” or similar
constructions.
 Titlesare usually in the form of a phrase, but can also be in the
form of a question.
 Use correct grammar and capitalization with all first words and
last words capitalized, including the first word of a subtitle. All
nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs that appear
between the first and last words of the title are also
capitalized.
 Inacademic papers, rarely is a title followed by an exclamation
mark.

Citation – is the process of acknowledging the sources of information
that you have used in your manuscript.
- last name of the author, followed by the year that the work is
published, enclosed in a parenthesis (e.g. Castillo, 2013).

Referencing – is the process of organizing the written works cited in

your text.
References will demonstrate the thorough literature search and
readings that you have done to create your research.

Bibliography – it is the complete listings of resources conferred with

in relation to the study being conducted.
Reference Format

 Appears at the end of the dissertation

 Name of author (in reverse order), year of
publication, book title, edition, location of publisher,
publishing company, page number
Example:

young adults. Journal on Aging. (14(3), 220-243.
Statement of the Problem
The study explores the emotional level of the mothers and their extent of
assistance given to their children in the modular approach to learning.
Specifically, the study deals with the following sub-problems:
 What is the profile of the mothers in terms of their educational background,
gross family income and sources of income?
 What is the emotional level of the mothers?
 What is the extent of the assistance given to their children in the modular
approach to learning?
 Is there a significant relationship between then mothers’ emotional level
and their extent of assistance given to their children in the modular
approach to learning?
 Is there a significant difference in the emotional level of the mothers
when they are grouped according to their educational background, gross
family income and sources of income?
Hypothesis
 proposed explanation about a phenomenon made on
the basis of limited evidence and a starting point of
your research inquiry.
 temporary answer to your problem, argument or
issue, which you intend to test and explore
throughout your study.
 shouldbe tested empirically either statistically or
quantitatively.
 Expresses
the non-significance of the difference
between the samples compared.

 criticalsuggestion regarding the best course of action in
a certain situation.
 provides a beneficial guide that will not only resolve
certain issues, but result in a beneficial outcome.

 indicates the specific measures or directions that can be
taken. For example, a clinical study might have
implications for cancer research and might recommend
against the use of a particular hazardous substance
Publication to Refereed Journal
 Peer review or refereed journal is an academic term
for quality control. Each article published in a peer-
