BASIC RULES OF VOLLEYBALL
 Players and Rotation
1.When the all is not in play, the players must i their
proper rotation order.
2.Proper rotaion order(six-on six)establishes three
from –rowand three back-rowplayers.
3.When the ball is dead, players matynot overlapwith a
player whois in adjacent position.

 Playing the Ball

• Blocking

contacts after the block.
5.Mutiple contacts of a ball by participating
blockers is legal, provided it is one an attempt

 Net Play
 1.A ball is contacting the net and it crosses over is
considered legal.
 2. A player must not in contact with the tape part of the
net y any part of the body.
 3.A player may reach across the net to contact the ball,
provided it was attacked by the opponent.
 4. A player may cross the net when attacking the ball,
provided part of it on the attacker’s side when it was
contacted.
 5.Standing or stepping the center line is legal; having
any part of the body crosses the line the favors the
opponent’s court is illegal.
 Scoring

e blocker’s hands.
 Fault- an infraction of the rules

 Free Ball -an easy ball given by the opponent
 Kill- fast hit made onthe net that cannot be returned directly

entries into the game
