Moral Issues

It means the set of rules or principles that the organization should follow. While in business ethics refers

to a code of conduct that businesses are expected to follow while doing business.
Through ethics, a standard is set for the organization to regulate their behavior. This helps them in
distinguishing between the wrong and the right part of the businesses. The ethics that are formed in the
organization are not rocket science. They are based on the creation of a human mind. That is why ethics
depend on the influence of the place, time, and the situation. Code of conduct is another term that is
used extensively in businesses nowadays. It is a set of rules that are considered as binding by the people
working in the organization.
Responsibilities

Responsibility is also the obligation of an individual to perform the


duty or task assigned to him.

• Honouring work hours
• Proper use of funds
• Respect
Rights
That which belongs to a person by law, nature, or tradition.
A right is defined as something to which one has a just claim or the
power or privilege to which one is justly entitled. All rights exist at birth
and come from property rights or the interest that one has in a piece
of property.
Statutory rights
Rights that are based on specific laws and statutes passed by federal, state,
and local governments. These includes:

• Equal employment opportunity


• Collective bargaining
• Workplace safety
Contractual Rights
Rights based on a specific contract between employer and employee.
• Non-Compete Agreements: Prohibit individuals who quit from competing
with employer in the same line of business for a period of time.
• Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI): It covers employer’s
costs for legal fees, settlements, and judgments associated with
employment-related actions.

Privacy Rights

It’s the freedom from unauthorized and unreasonable intrusion into


personal affairs. Employee medical records are kept as separate
confidential files available under limited conditions specified in the
ADA.
