commonly referred to as noise.
Just like an excess of
unwanted gases and particles
in the air causes air pollution,
an excess of unwanted sounds
(noise) in the environment
around us causes noise
pollution.

In terms of properties, noise is
different from other pleasing sounds
due to its very high amplitudes, high
frequencies, or a combination of both.
