COMMUNICATION
Dealing with writing not
intended for others.
Example: An entry in a
diary or personal
journal.
INTERPERSONAL
COMMUNICATION
This refers to
communication
between and among
people and establishes
personal relationship
between and among
them.
Interpersonal
Communication can be
categorized by the
number of participants.
Dyad Communication-
involves two people.
Example: Two friends
talking.
Group Communication-
involves three or more
persons.
Example: Group study,
lectures, or Group
activity.
PUBLIC
COMMUNICATION
Involves a large
group with primarily
one-way monologue
style generating only
minimal feedback.
Example: Lectures in a
university or Graduation
speech.
MASS
COMMUNICATION
This refers to
communication that takes
place through television,
radio, newspapers,
magazines, books,
internet, and other types
of media.
Example: You are a
student journalist
articulating you stand
on current issues
through the school’s
newspaper.
