Ban on Single Use Plastics

Introduction
Single Use Plastics, or Disposable Plastics, are  used only once before they are thrown away or recycled.
In the process of breaking down, it releases toxic chemicals which are added shape and harden the plastics

and these hazardous chemicals make their way into our food chain and water supply system. These single
use plastics are widely used in innumerable ways due to their excellent packaging property and
multipurpose use, but there use need to be banned due to equally destructive impact on the environment
which is the major cause of ecosystem imbalance and much talked topic Climate Change.

Why ? How?
• Annual CO2 emission from plastics could 1) Switch to reusable sandwich bags :

• Major threat to wildlife and aquatic
ecosystem.
• Very dangerous for human Health.

2) Use of Bioplatics :
It is constructed from biological matter.
The biodegradable and water soluble is
designed as thermoplastic pellets that can
be moulded into thin film to encase food
and other stuffs. It can be degraded within
18 days and it also dissolves quickly in
cold water leaving no chemical residue in
the environment.
Conclusion
With the increasing Concern over Climate
Change and Environment Protection, Plastics
need to banned with immediate effect. It has
already disturbed the environment and living
beings alike by excessive emission of green
house gases and toxic chemicals, so it is high
time that we resort to alternatives which has
full ability to replace these hazardous
plastics.
