Mt. Pinatubo, owing the fact that


it's located in the Philippines and
we have enough knowledge about
it. It's an interesting volcano for it is
known for it’s most destructive
eruption in the Philippine history.
Why is this area called the Pacific Ring of
Fire?

Volcanoes are associated with the


belt throughout its length; for this
reason it is called the “Ring of
Fire.” A series of deep ocean
troughs frame the belt on the
oceanic side, and continental
landmasses lie behind. It's edges
mark a circle of high volcanic and
seismic activity. It's being
surrounded by active volcanoes.
