INTRODUCTION OF TOPIC
• Concrete is the mixer of cement, sand and coarse aggregate with a proper water cement ratio. Complete strength of
the concrete will be achieved with proper curing as the heat of hydration plays a major role in designed strength.
• Self Compacting concrete has many benefits in terms of production and placement compared to traditional
concrete.
• The relative proportions of key components are considered by volume rather than by mass. A simple too has been
designed for Self Compacting concrete (SCC) mix design M30 with 29% of coarse aggregate replacement of cement
with metakaolin and class of flyash.
• Combination of both and controlled SCC mix with 0.36 water/cement ratio (by weight) and 388 liter/m^3 of
cement past volume. Crushed granite stones of size 16mm and 12.5mm are used with a blending 16:40 percentage
weight of total coarse aggregates.
• It has a big role to play because of the sustainable benefits in construction both quantitatively and qualitatively. It
reduces permeability greater freedom in design and faster construction.
• SCC can be used for complicated reinforcement Raft foundation, Retaining walls, Pile foundation.
• The investigation aims to study the strength and durability properties of concrete using the function of the self-
compacting agent is to reduce the permeability in concrete structures, minimizes voids in highly reinforced areas
and eliminates problems associated with concrete vibration
USES
• Construction of raft and pile foundations
• .Retrofitting and repairing constructions.
• Structures with complex reinforcement distributions.
• Construction of earth retaining systems.
• Drilled shafts.
• Columns.
