 Introduction

Partition plan of 1947.

• Partition plan was announced in 1947 and all
princely states were given option either to
join India or Pakistan or remain independent.

Standstill Agreement
• This agreement was signed by Maharaja Hari
with India and Pakistan.
Delhi Agreement of 1952, State Subject of
Law of 1927

Delhi agreement was held

between representative of
Kashmir government and Indian
government.

The agreement mainly concerned

with flag, head of the state will be
the PM.

State subject law of 1927 was

passed by Maharaja Hari Singh , it
was policy of dogra ruler in favour
of Kashmiri Pandit.
Role of Sheikh Abdullah, Instrument of
Accession, Article 370
He was the prime minister of Jammu and Kashmir in
1948,who got Article 370 incorporated in the Indian
Constitution, usually attracts a few visitors and more
abuses.

Instrument of accession is a legal document executed

by Maharaja Hari Singh on 26 October, by executing
this document under the provision of Indian
Independence Act 1947, Hari singh acceded to the
dominion of India.

Give special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

Provisons of 35A
• 1. A person who is not a
Permanent Resident of Jammu and
Kashmir can't own property there.
• 2. Resident of any other state of
India cannot become a Permanent
Resident of Jammu and Kashmir
and therefore cannot cast vote
there.
• 3. It forbids Indian citizens from
acquiring immovable properties
and can't seek employment in the
state.
