 Dining Room Preparation
• Is the proper arrangement of dining room layout, the table
appointments and accessories. Dining room layout should
provide comfort and ease for the diners. The selection of table
and chairs will depend on the size of the room and the
arrangement will vary according to the number of guests and
the occasion. Setting the table properly makes meal more
appealing, satisfying and enjoyable to dinner.
 Dining Room
• is a room for consuming food. In modern times it is usually
adjacent to the kitchen for convenience in serving, although in
medieval times it was often on an entirely different floor level.
Historically the dining room is furnished with a rather large dining
table and several dining chairs; the most common shape is
generally rectangular with two armed end chairs and an even
number of un-armed side chairs along the long sides.

table to get their food. A waiter scoops serving portions and plates them in guests
plates. This caters to a large number of guests.
