TRANSPORT

 Transportation is the movement of material

across the Earth's surface by water, wind, ice or
gravity.
 It includes the physical processes of traction
(dragging), suspension (being carried) and
bouncing and the chemical process of solution.
MODES
 Road
 Railway

 Waterway

 Airway

 Space
ROAD TRANSPORT
 Road is a identifiable route , way or path between two or
more places.
 The first methods of road transport were horses , oxen or
even humans carrying goods over dirt tracks that often
followed game trails.
TRUCK(LOAD)
IMPROVEMENTS
 Road transport is cheapest and faster
mode of transport for smaller distances
 At present buses and cars are used mode
of transport
 Future transport would use the e-bikes and
battery cars
HYBRID VEHICLES
 An electric kick scooter is a small platform with two or
more wheels that is propelled by an electric motor.
 It also has motor , besides that propulsion can also
happen by the rider , pushing off to the ground
HYBRID VEHICLES
E-bike Battery car
RAIL TRANSPORT
 Rail transport was the movement of vehicle on rails
anchored perpendicular to the sleepers made of timber,
concerete or the steel
 Rail transport was now broadly used by peoples of all
grades.
 Rail transport in early days was possible by steam engine
HYBRID TRAIN

It’s a rail vehicle that uses an board

rechargeable energy storage
system(RESS),placed between the
power source and traction transmission
connected between wheels
AIR TRANSPORT
•Air transport is
the second fastest
transport.

•Air transport
transports
500,000 people
every minute.
WATER TRANSPORT
Water transport is the process of
transporting a water craft over a
waterbody.

Transport through water is less

costly than air transport.

Commercially vessels ,nearly

35,000 in number ,carried 7.4
billion tons of cargo in 2007
SPACE TRANSPORT
Space exploration is the
use of astronomy and space
technology to explore pouter
space.
Physical exploration of
space is conducted both on
earth and also in space
This is NASA’s space
probe to International space
station floating in the space.
EFFECTS OF TRANSPORT
 Emission of co2 by vehicle causes
global warming.
 Air transport leaves debris in
atmosphere which causes serious
damage to air transport and also
radiation
 Water transport pollutes water
resources
DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
SUGGESTION
 Transportation of future could use renewable resource as
their fuel.
 Hybrid vehicle would be brought to a cheaper and
affordable price.
 People would use safer mode of transport both for them
and environment
CONCLUSION
Its impossible to think a world
without vehicles we are in need of it
always. So we shall use it in such a
manner that environment doesn’t get
affected.
