WHAT IS CURRICULUM?

While thinking about education, the most

important idea that comes to mind is
curriculum. Curriculum is a channel that
school administration needs for giving
educational and life skills to students.
However, unluckily, in Pakistani context,
this idea is highly misunderstood due to
which students do not get enriched
educational experience in schools.

unintended lessons, values, and perspectives that students learn
in school.
A hidden curriculum can be defined as the lessons that are taught
informally, and usually unintentionally, in a school system. ...
Areas of hidden curriculum in our schools that mold perspectives
of students deal with issues such as gender, morals, social class,
stereotypes, cultural expectations, politics, and language.
What is hidden in hidden curriculum?
A hidden curriculum is a side effect of
schooling, "[lessons] which are learned but
not openly intended" such as the
transmission of norms, values, and beliefs
conveyed in the classroom and the social
environment. It should be mentioned that the
break time is an important part of the hidden
curriculum.
