Balancing, Twisting and Turning

 Balancing- This is the ability to stay upright or stay in


control of body movements.
 Better balance makes it easier to move and prevents injuries.
 Types of balancing
 Static balance- maintaining equilibrium while not moving.
 Dynamic balance- maintaining equilibrium while in motion.
 These two types of balances involve one point balance
where you balance on one body part for example the foot and
multi- point balance where you use two or more body parts
to balance for example foot and hand.
Twist- this is rotating body parts around an axis while the base stays
fixed for example rotating whole body while feet is fixed in the same
position.
Turning- rotating the whole body changing the direction of the whole
body ending up facing a new direction.
