SEGMENTAL PHONOLOGY ​
(VOWEL)​

A speech sound produced by human when the breath flows out through the
mouth without being blocked by the teeth, tongue, or lips. ​
In Bahasa, there are only 6 vowels, 3 diphtongs, and 2 semi-vowels. But In
English, there are 12 vowels, 8 diphtongs, and 2 semi-vowels.​

For Example :
1) A short vowel is a short sound as in the word "Tub"​
2) A long vowel is a long sound as in the word "Tube"​
