Definition Of ARTICLES
An article is a word that is used
to specify a noun. These are
basically three words, A, An
and The that are used on certain
rules.
Examples:

A Girls.
The Book.
Types Of Articles
There are two types of
Articles.

1.Definite Articles.

2. Indefinite Articles.
1. DEFINITE ARTICLES
‘The’ is called as definite
articles as it points out some
particular thing or person.

Example:

The Ganga river.


The English book.
The Doctor.
2. INDEFINITE ARTICLES
‘A’ or ‘An’ is called as indefinite
articles.
• When the next word starts with a
consonant sound article ‘A’ is
used.
• When the next word starts with a
Vowel sound article ‘An’ is used.
Example:
A Cat.
